This course is designed to meet the Illinois State and Chicago City minimum training requirements for annual sexual harassment training for workers in enterprises that serve alcoholic beverages and/or food that is ready-to-eat, holding the indicated role responsibility (Supervisor or non-Supervisor) and working within the Chicago city limits.
What are the harassment prevention training requirements for workers within the City of Chicago?
According to Chicago City Council Ordinance 2022-665, Supervisors working within the city limits must receive 2 hours of compliant sexual harassment prevention training, and 1 hour of bystander intervention training, annually.
Non–supervisors in Chicago must receive one hour of sexual harassment prevention training and one hour of bystander intervention training annually.

What are the harassment prevention training requirements for foodservice workers in Illinois?
According to Illinois SB-75, employers of workers that serve alcoholic beverages and/or food that is ready-to-eat must use a specific sexual harassment prevention training tailored to the bar and restaurant industry, and this training also must meet or exceed the standards of the IDHR.

How long is this sexual harassment prevention training “good for”?
This simple question has a complicated answer: twelve months, so long as it’s completed before the end of June.
Here’s the detail:
- Illinois Senate Bill 75 requires every employee in Illinois to receive sexual harassment prevention training every year. So this training is good for one year, usually interpreted as the calendar year the training was completed.
- Chicago implemented their requirements with a June 30th deadline, not at calendar year-end. This means that Chicago professionals should complete this course bundle in the first 6 months of the year to cover both compliance bases using one course training bundle.

Who does this course or course bundle train? What is the registration format of this course product?
This is a ” 4U, or to train yourself ” product. Purchase of this product allows the purchaser to train under this course, as soon as immediately, using the name on the method of payment, and the email address, username and password used/created at checkout.

How long does this training take to complete?
This course bundle requires a minimum of two hours (120 minutes) of time spent with the course content.

- This course is NOT suitable for renewal of a professional license with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Per a requirement known as Public Act 100-0762, House Bill 4953, or “McAuliffe/Bush”, if you intend to renew or reinstate a professional license with a CE requirement during the calendar year you take a sexual harassment prevention course, the course MUST be taken through our accredited CE provider credential in order to renew your license. - Also, this online training bundle is really not suitable for workers in organizations that do NOT serve food that is ready-to-eat, and/or alcoholic beverages.
