With which state requirements does this harassment prevention training comply?
This course meets and exceeds the sexual harassment prevention training requirement of California Senate Bill 1373.
SB-1373 is the law that superseded AB 1825 in 2019; it requires companies with 5 or more workers (whether inside or outside of California) to provide sexual harassment prevention training to their employees every two years.
The training also includes AB 2053 required content on abusive conduct; and includes material as per SB 396 (gender identity, expression and sexual orientation); SB 400 (expanded protections for victims of stalking, domestic violence and sexual assault); AB 2992 (protections for victims of crime and abuse); and SB 1300 (single incident standard for severe or pervasive hostile work environment).

How long is this sexual harassment prevention training “good for”?
California Senate Bill 1373 requires employers of five of more workers in California to provide sexual harassment prevention training to their employees every other year.
So this training is good for two years from when the training is completed (unless a non-supervisor is promoted to a supervisory position. After promotion, a supervisor must take the supervisory training within their first 6 months in the new role).
From the timing of SB-1343’s implementation deadlines, this SHPT mandate plays out as mandating refresher training for most workers in even-numbered calendar years.
For example, if someone completed this training in December of 2024. they would be due for retraining beginning January 2025 (and would be considered overdue if they hadn’t completed the training by December 31, 2026).

The course has no maximum time limit to complete. ( Your region may have compliance training deadlines, but we don’t enforce these – we’d rather train people a little late rather than never! )

Are there sexual harassment prevention training requirements with which this course product does NOT comply?
- This course is NOT suitable for California janitorial service provider or contractor workers. Per AB 547, covered CA janitorial employers must register and provide in-person sexual violence and harassment prevention training to meet specialized requirements, which the California Labor Commissioner is enforcing starting January 1, 2024. At this time California Required Training Solutions does not provide in-person training. More information on AB 547 can be found here.
- This is a California course, so it seems a bit silly to say so, but there are new Chicago IL sexual harassment prevention training requirements that distinguish between Supervisor and Non-supervisor roles just like California, so we don’t want anyone to be confused. This California course does not comply with the requirements of Chicago Illinois City Council Ordinance 2022-665. What can I expect from this sexual harassment prevention training experience?
You’ll do a lot of reading at your own pace, and a lot of clicking or tapping.
We’re required to make our courses interactive and individualized, so we present material in small chunks, but as fast as you want to see it.
Don’t worry, you don’t have to complete the course all in one sitting. If you need a break or to take care of something, feel free to step away.
