With which state requirements does this harassment prevention training comply?
This course meets and exceeds the specialized sexual harassment prevention training requirement of Illinois Senate Bill 75 for bar/restaurant/coffee shop workers. SB-75 is the law that requires every employee in Illinois to receive sexual harassment prevention training every year. The law contains specialized requirements for the training of workers in businesses that serve alcohol and/or food that is ready-to-eat.

How long is this sexual harassment prevention training “good for”?
Illinois Senate Bill 75 requires every employee in Illinois to receive sexual harassment prevention training every year. So this training is good for one year, usually interpreted as the calendar year the training was completed. For instance, if someone completed this training in December of 2024. they would be due for retraining beginning January 2025, and would be overdue if they hadn’t completed the training by December 31, 2025.

This version of our course is delivered in the “ To Train Another / For Your Staff ” registration format, with unique hyperlinks delivered to the purchaser/administrator by email for distribution by them to individual workers/others. Both the purchaser/administrator and the trainee(s) must have unique (not shared) email addresses. One unit of training product trains one person. This version of the course is like the “4U / Train Yourself” course in all respects except the form of registration.

How long does this sexual harassment prevention training take to complete?
This course requires a minimum of one hour (60 minutes) of time spent with the course content. It does NOT have to be completed all in one sitting.
Some people take longer depending on their preferred learning speed.
The course has no maximum time limit to complete. ( Your region may have compliance training deadlines, but we don’t enforce these – we’d rather train people a little late rather than never! )
Are there sexual harassment prevention training requirements with which this course product does NOT comply?
- This course does not comply with the statutory sexual harassment prevention training requirements of Chicago City Council Ordinance 2022-665. The course content covers some City of Chicago laws, regulations, and resources, but may not contain other required elements and is not offered as part of a course bundle with the Bystander Intervention Training required to comply with the annual SHPT training requirements of the Chicago Municipal Code for supervisory and/or non-supervisory workers. - This course is also NOT suitable for renewal of a professional license with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Per a requirement known as Public Act 100-0762, House Bill 4953, or “McAuliffe/Bush”, if you intend to renew or reinstate a professional license with a CE requirement during the calendar year you take a sexual harassment prevention course, the course MUST be taken through our accredited CE provider credential in order to renew your license.
